Earthmoving - Bobcat & Excavator Machine Operator
Baseup Sheds is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our team in Toowoomba, QLD. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all Earthworks-related activities on our construction sites, ensuring works are delivered to the highest quality standards.
What you'll be doing
Mark out and complete all relevant and required earthworks in relation to sheds and concrete prep
Transporting machinery
Driving Hino 500 series GH****, auto ***** model) to; Dump dirt, spoil, concrete etc + picking up material
Operating a 3.5t yanmar Excavator (220hrs) and S450 Bobcat (480Hrs)
Ensure all earthworks is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and company policies
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise
Monitor and maintain safety and quality control measures, including conducting regular inspections, maintenance and testing on machinery
Communicate with customers effectively
Tasks & responsibilities
Site levelling, clean up and battering
Trenching
Spreader bar works
Final trims
Dump truck cartage
General Earthworks
Work Autonomously
Delegate Tasks if required
Keep all machinery well looked after
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience
Thorough understanding of construction methods




Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges on site
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and plans
Proven track record of ensuring high-quality work and meeting project deadlines
Familiarity with relevant construction safety regulations and best practices
Hard working with a can do attitude
Works well within a team environment
Will consider part time/casual applicants

Qualifications & experience (Preferred but not required)
Minimum of 2 years earthmoving experience
21 years old and over only
Excavator and bobcat license (MUST HAVE requirement)
