This Australian-owned manufacturer is a recognised leader in the design and production of specialised safety solutions that support power distribution and renewable energy networks across Australia and overseas.
With in-house capability spanning research and development, product design, testing, manufacturing and logistics, the business combines innovation with strong operational discipline.
Employing around 200 people, the organisation is entering an exciting new chapter of growth and has committed to a major site expansion that will continue over the next 18 months.
Significant investment is being made in new production facilities, advanced manufacturing technology, robotics and automation, creating safer, more effective operations while supporting continued business growth.
About the Role
The Health & Safety Advisor will provide practical and proactive support across all WHS functions for the main manufacturing facility on the Northern Gold Coast, while also contributing to national safety initiatives across the broader business.
With a major site redevelopment underway,
you'll play a key role supporting development activities, contractor management, machinery commissioning and the integration of new manufacturing processes.
You'll work closely with operational leaders to ensure safety remains front of mind as the business introduces new technology, streamlines production processes and delivers a safer, more productive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead WHS initiatives and continuous improvement programs across operations
Provide practical safety advice, coaching and support to managers and employees
Review, embed and continuously improve WHS systems, policies and procedures
Conduct workplace inspections, audits and incident investigations, identifying root causes and driving corrective actions
Oversee workers' compensation, rehabilitation and return-to-work programs
Deliver engaging safety inductions, toolbox talks and training across all operational areas
Foster a positive safety culture through visible leadership, coaching and employee engagement
Assist with contractor management, risk assessments associated with new plant, automation and operational changes
About You
You're a hands-on HSE professional who thrives in operational environments where collaboration, visibility and practical problem-solving are valued.
You build credibility quickly, communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels and enjoy influencing a positive safety culture.
You'll be equally comfortable supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations while contributing to a significant site expansion, maintaining oversight of contractors, project risks, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives as the business evolves.
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
Minimum Certificate IV WHS
Experience in an operational HSE role, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG or a similar environment
Sound understanding of WorkCover, Return To Work and injury management requirements across QLD & NSW
Proven ability to influence, engage, and build relationships across diverse teams
Strong operational knowledge of risk management, hazard control, and incident investigation
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
A proactive, collaborative, and hands-on leadership style
Lean Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing experience highly desirable
