Financial Accountant
role offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise, partner with stakeholders across the business, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives from our Corporate Head Office in Gordonvale.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
Maintaining general ledger accounts and completing month-end and year-end accounting processes
Preparing and reviewing balance-sheet reconciliations and investigating outstanding items
Assisting with annual budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
Providing meaningful financial insights to support business decision-making
Supporting external audit requirements and the preparation of statutory and regulatory reporting
Ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls and company policies
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial support and guidance
Identifying and implementing process improvements and reporting efficiencies
About You
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
CPA or CA qualification, or currently working towards completion
A minimum of three years' experience in a similar financial accounting role
Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
Strong balance-sheet reconciliation and problem-solving skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with SAP or another major ERP system would be advantageous
Experience in manufacturing or a similarly complex business environment would be desirable
Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time-management skills
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Adaptability and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
