CSSD Technician | Locum Short Term Contracts Across Australia We are seeking experienced CSSD Technicians to join our team for locum short term contracts across Australia.
These opportunities are ideal for skilled professionals looking to expand their experience, explore new locations and provide essential support to healthcare services.
As a CSSD Technician, you will be responsible for the secure and effective decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilisation and distribution of reusable medical instruments and equipment.
You will work closely with operating theatre and clinical teams to ensure instruments are available, processed correctly and meet strict infection prevention and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include: Cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting and assembling surgical instruments and equipment.
Operating sterilisation equipment and maintaining accurate documentation and traceability records.
Preparing instrument trays and ensuring efficient turnaround to support theatre services.




Maintaining compliance with Australian Standards, infection prevention guidelines and hospital policies.
Working independently while contributing positively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Requirements: Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (or equivalent).
AHPRA registration highly desirable.
Minimum 2 years' CSSD experience with the ability to work independently.
Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship available).
Full vaccination compliance as required by healthcare facilities.
Current Police Check.
Ability to obtain Working with Children Check or Vulnerable People Check where required.
