What does the job look like?
Linfox Hazelmere is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join our Facilities team.
Working across our warehouse and transport operations, you'll play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient and well-presented facilities that support our people and customers.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical maintenance work, takes pride in keeping facilities operating at a high standard, and values working as part of a team in a fast-paced operational environment.
Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, you will support the maintenance and presentation of our Hazelmere operations.
Key areas: Carrying out general building repairs, preventative maintenance and handyman tasks Completing site upkeep and housekeeping activities including line marking, painting, cleaning and minor carpentry works Supporting the Facilities Coordinator with maintenance projects and site improvement initiatives Assisting with contractor management, permits to work and ensuring compliance with site safety requirements (training provided).
Operating forklifts and site equipment to move materials and maintenance supplies Conducting inspections and reporting maintenance issues before they become larger problems Maintaining minor maintenance equipment, tools and spare parts inventory Driving company vehicles to collect materials and supplies where required Providing support to metropolitan and regional sites when required Are you the one?

You'll enjoy practical work, have a strong commitment to safety,



and understand the importance of working collaboratively with contractors and operational teams to achieve the best outcomes.
You can demonstrate: Experience in general maintenance, facilities, handyman or trade-related work Current C Class Driver's Licence (essential) Current Forklift Licence (preferred) Trade qualification or maintenance-related background (advantageous) A genuine passion for safety and maintaining safe workplaces for employees, contractors and visitors Experience working alongside contractors and supporting contractor compliance to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard Ability to use power tools and complete basic repairs safely and effectively Robust organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities A proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across operations, facilities and external service providers Flexibility to assist across multiple sites when required What's in it for me?
