What does the job look like?
We are currently seeking experienced HC Truck Drivers to join our Intermodal operations based out of Cairns.
This role supports a varied transport task, including containerized freight, metro and customer site deliveries, as well as pick-ups across the metropolitan area and regional locations.
Shifts will start from 5am subject to business needs, with flexibility required across a seven-day rotating roster and occasional weekend work during peak periods.
Key areas: Driving to Linfox Safety Standards and ensuring that Vision Zero is a daily focus.
Supporting customer deliveries and/or pick-ups of dry grocery, chilled and frozen freight and specialised customer requirements.
Working flexibly across rotating shifts, with longer shifts where freight arrivals are delayed or operational demand changes.
Providing excellent customer service and representing Linfox in a qualified manner.
Accurately completing and collecting all required documentation.
Maintaining strong knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, load restraint and road transport legislation.
Are you the one?




You can demonstrate: Minimum 2 yrs recent and/or previous experience in a similar role.
A strong safety mindset, with sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and load restraint requirements.
Confidence using technology, including tablets or electronic run systems, as well as completing paper-based documentation when required.
Willingness to learn side loader operations and complete any required customer-specific training, Responsible manual handling including manual pallet jack experience Strong communication skills and the ability to provide professional service to a range of customers.
