About the Role
As an
NDIS Youth Assistant
, you will play a key role in supporting young people to build confidence, develop life and employment skills, and work towards greater independence.
You will:
Deliver engaging group programs and one-on-one supports
Design and facilitate workshops tailored to diverse learning styles and support needs
Support participants to achieve employment, social and independence goals
Provide end-to-end support across training, workplace and community-based activities
Build positive relationships with participants, families and stakeholders
Collaborate closely with Youth Consultants and Workplace Consultants to support participant outcomes
Monitor progress, maintain records and contribute to participant success stories
About You
You are passionate about empowering young people and helping them reach their potential. You bring energy, creativity and a strengths-based approach to your work.
You will ideally have:
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to engage and motivate young people from diverse backgrounds
Confidence supporting people with a range of abilities and behaviours
Resilience, initiative and strong problem-solving skills
Excellent organisational and computer skills
Flexibility to work across a varied roster, including weekends when required
An understanding of the NDIS and person-centred practice (desirable)
Qualifications & Experience

Highly desirable:
Tertiary qualifications in
Social Work, Counselling or a related field
Current professional registration or membership with:
Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)Australian Counselling Association (ACA)Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA)
Formal qualifications are valued; however, relevant experience, life experience and a genuine commitment to supporting young people are equally important.

Ability to work towards participant outcomes, service targets and KPIs
Sound judgement, initiative and professionalism
Current right to work in Australia
Compliance Requirements
Successful applicants will be required to hold or obtain:
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Working with Children Check
National Police Check
Current Driver Licence and reliable vehicle (desirable)
Right to work in Australia
