Full-time Painter position available with market-competitive salary.
Work in a dynamic team in North Parramatta, NSW ****.
The Painter is responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various structures across EQUILINE PROJECTS PTY LTD projects.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality workmanship.
They will operate efficiently while strictly adhering to workplace health and safety regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities Inspect work areas to determine the required preparation methods and materials.
Lay drop cloths, apply masking tape, and secure the surrounding environment to protect property and livestock.
Clean, sand, scrape, and wash surfaces to remove old paint, dirt, and grease.
Fill holes, cracks, and joints with appropriate putty, plaster, or caulking compounds.
Select and apply suitable primers or sealers to ensure optimal paint adhesion and durability.
Choose appropriate paints, varnishes, stains, and specialized animal-safe coatings for specific equine and property applications.
Blend paints and pigments to match specified colors and textures.
Use brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to apply even coats of paint to interior and exterior surfaces.
Execute precision painting on trims, fences, stables, and architectural features.
Apply weather-resistant, anti-corrosive, or non-slip coatings where required.
Thoroughly clean brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other equipment immediately after use.
Perform routine maintenance on compressors,
sprayers, and power tools.
Monitor stock levels of paint, solvents, and consumables.
Ensure all chemicals, paints, and solvents are stored securely in compliance with safety data sheets.
Essential Skills Deep knowledge of painting materials, application techniques, and surface preparation.
Ability to deliver precise, high-quality finishes consistently.
Strong visual acuity and ability to mix and match colors accurately.
Capability to estimate project durations accurately and meet deadlines.
Ability to identify surface issues and determine the most effective treatment.
Clear verbal communication skills for coordinating with site supervisors and other trades.
