Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission.
Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the 'Courts Group'.

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The MCV determines in excess of 200,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, dealing with over 90 percent of all adult cases that come before Victorian courts each year.

About the Role
As the Court's family violence specialist, the Family Violence Registrar plays a critical role in enhancing access to justice and supporting people affected by family violence.
The role leads strong partnerships with community agencies and service providers, facilitates information sharing, and connects court users with appropriate support services.
Acting as a key point of contact for parties involved in family violence proceedings, you will guide individuals through court processes, coordinate referrals, and work closely with legal and non-legal stakeholders to deliver a responsive and trauma-informed service.
You will collaborate with Court Coordinators, the Family Violence Programs and Initiatives Unit, the judiciary, and external partners to ensure effective case management and continuous service improvement.




Leading the Court's regional family violence team, you will provide supervision, coaching and performance management while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
This role operates in a complex and sensitive environment, requiring strong leadership, sound judgement, and the ability to build trusted relationships across the justice and community sectors.
About you
Must be a qualified Court Registrar.
Demonstrated understanding of the nature and dynamics of family violence and the operation of the family violence jurisdiction within the Magistrates' Court of Victoria.
Strong leadership skills with experience in building, motivating, and managing teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and planning capabilities.
Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
