MYXA is seeking an Experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team. This is a casual position, providing versatile work arrangements to support our clients with a range of disability support services. As an experienced Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve their personal goals.
What you'll be doing
Providing personalised support and assistance to clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and community access
Collaborating with clients, families, and other care professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans
Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote client well-being and community inclusion
Maintaining detailed client records and documentation to ensure high-quality service delivery
Advocating for client rights and ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
What we're looking for
Significant experience (minimum 2 years) providing mental health supports
Experienced in working with clients with challenging behaviours and complex support needs
Alcohol and Other Drug experience




Demonstrated understanding of person-centred approaches and the ability to empower clients to achieve their goals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients, families, and other stakeholders
Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing client needs
A valid driver's licence
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to meet the needs of our clients
