The
Procurement Officer
plays a crucial role in managing the purchasing processes within our organisation, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted efficiently and in accordance with company policies. Based in Mount Morgan, Queensland, this permanent full time position is essential for maintaining optimal supply chain operations and fostering strong relationships with suppliers to support our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational goals.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Collaborate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs and manage inventory levels.
Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records and reports for management review.
Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Operate with Delegated Authority and ensure DA is maintained in the organisation
Support and maintain company values of Safety, Respect, Responsibility and Innovation
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in procurement software (PRONTO) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
The roster will be Monday to Friday which means you can be home every night. Our work hours are generally **** to 4pm with a shorter 5th day in the week. Our operations are based in Mount Morgan and we have an office in Rockhampton.
