Chef - Full Time
Balboa Italian is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our professional kitchen team in Palm Beach.
This is a full-time position within one of the Gold Coast's busiest and most highly regarded Italian restaurants, serving up to 350 guests per day.
We are looking for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced service environment and has solid experience working the boiler section, with strong pan cooking skills and a genuine understanding of quality Italian cuisine.
This a full-time, salaried role, working across a seven-day rotating roster.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for delivering consistently high-quality food while working collaboratively within a professional team.
The role includes preparation and service across the boiler section, fresh pasta production, mise en place, and maintaining the high standards Balboa Italian has become known for.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a professional commercial kitchen
Proven experience working the boiler section in a busy restaurant
Strong pan cooking skills and the ability to confidently manage a busy service




Experience making fresh pasta and a sound understanding of Italian cookery
Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure during high-volume service
Excellent organisation, cleanliness and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a positive team-first attitude
Pride in producing consistently high‐quality food
