Behavioural Therapy Assistant - Wavell Heights

About Lizard Centre: For over 20 years the Lizard Centre has been a leader in Applied Behaviour Analysis and early intervention in Australia. We provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental conditions.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Behavioural Therapy Assistant who is available to work with a family inWavell Heightsfor 5sessions per week:
Monday 3:00pm-6:00pm
Tuesday 3:00pm-6:00pm
Wednesday 3:00pm-6:00pm
Thursday 3:00pm-6:00pm
Friday 9:00am-11:00am

We are also open to splitting these sessions between two Therapy Assistants, making this a great opportunity for candidates seeking part time hours.

Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 therapy to clients in wide-ranging settings, including home/clinic/school
Support clients in developing their skills; communication, social interactions and emotional regulation
Collect client data to track progress and identify areas of improvement




Foster a positive workplace that encourages client participation

Skills & Experience
Studying or completed a Degree/ Certificate in Psychology, Disability, Education, Occupational Therapy or related field (preferred)
Experience working with children is highly desirable
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
A passion for helping individuals reach their full potential

Requirements
Working with Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
NDIS Worker Orientation Module - 'Quality, Safety and You'
Australian Driver's License & Vehicle
Laptop/iPad - you will be using your own device on shift

Additional information
