Chandler Macleod is seeking experienced
Procurement Advisors
to support a major Federal Government agency delivering high-quality procurement and contract management services across a diverse portfolio. This is a 12 month full time termporary contract with potential extension and requires 3 days work from the office and 2 days from home. The successful candidate can be based in Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney.
Responsibilities
Managing low to medium-risk procurements from planning through to contract establishment
Partnering with business areas to understand requirements, identify risks and develop effective procurement strategies
Preparing Spending Proposals, procurement plans, briefing papers and approval documentation
Conducting market research and supplier analysis to inform sourcing decisions
Developing and managing procurement documentation, including RFQs, RFTs and RFIs
Coordinating and facilitating evaluation processes, including preparation of evaluation plans and reports
Providing procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and organisational policies
Supporting supplier negotiations and contract establishment activities
Assisting with contract management, including variations, extensions and supplier performance monitoring
Maintaining accurate procurement records and ensuring compliance with governance,
probity and audit requirements
Building positive stakeholder relationships and contributing to the successful delivery of procurement outcomes
About You
2 to 5 years' procurement experience within a government workplace
Strong understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
Experience delivering end-to-end low to medium-risk procurements
Experience preparing procurement documentation, evaluation reports and approval briefs
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
Excellent written communication and drafting capability
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Relevant qualifications in procurement, contract management, business or a related discipline will be highly regarded
Previous Commonwealth Government experience is highly desirable
Security Clearance
Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain and maintain, a
Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance
