About the role
Based at Hall Contracting's head office on the
Sunshine Coast
, the
Communications Coordinator
will support the Communications Manager to deliver the company's internal and external communications via traditional and digital channels.
The successful applicant will also assist with the delivery of company events and produce high-quality content that engages stakeholders and builds brand recognition for Hall Contracting and its sub-brands, Hall Pacific and Hall Water & Tailings.
Key responsibilities
Implementing communication strategies and campaigns
Preparing and editing a range of written content including (but not limited to) newsletter articles, website copy, brochures and media releases
Organising and maintaining Hall's photo and video library
Assisting the Communications Manager to coordinate events, charity donation campaigns and media opportunities




Creating content for social media platforms
Developing and updating promotional materials
Monitoring and filing media coverage
Liaising with external suppliers such as graphic designers, web developers and event hire companies
Responding to media enquiries and coordinating proactive media opportunities
Monitoring and reporting on the performance of company social media channels and websites
Other general marketing and administrative duties as directed by the Communications Manager
Qualifications and experience
Required
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism or equivalent
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and social media platforms
Current driver's licence
Advantageous but not essential
Previous experience in a communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related role
Ability to perform basic tasks in Adobe Photoshop
Previous experience using website content management systems
