We're seeking an experienced and confident Maintenance Fitter, to join our team at Austral Bricks, Golden Grove, SA.
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will maintain and improve plant reliability, diagnose faults and support safe, efficient production.
Shift Pattern
• Monday to Thursday: 2:15 pm – 10:45 pm
• Friday: 11:45 am – 5:45 pm
• Permanent afternoon shift
• Full time roster
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Diagnose mechanical faults and repair plant and equipment to minimise production downtime.
• Perform planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
• Inspect, fit, assemble and install mechanical components using a range of hand and power tools.
• Conduct fault finding and identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and performance.
• Work closely with production operators and the maintenance team to resolve equipment issues efficiently.
• Complete maintenance work orders and ensure accurate maintenance records are maintained.
• Participate in planned shutdowns and major maintenance activities as required.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with WHS requirements, company procedures and industry standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
Success Requirements:
• Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.




• Strong fault-finding, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing maintenance tasks.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices and compliance with WHS requirements.
• Forklift licence and experience with hydraulic, pneumatic or automated production equipment (desirable).
