About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivatedProduction Team Leaderto join our growing operations team.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will provide hands‐on leadership on the production floor, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‐quality operations.
You will coordinate daily production activities, support your team, and ensure production targets, food safety standards, and quality requirements are consistently achieved.
This is a hands‐on role that requires regular movement throughout the production floor and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks when required.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate a production team to achieve daily production targets.
Coordinate labour and workflow to maximise productivity and minimise downtime.
Ensure production starts on time and breaks are managed in accordance with operational requirements.
Monitor product quality and ensure all products meet customer and company specifications.
Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, allergen, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.
Complete production documentation accurately, including downtime, quality, and safety records.
Identify production issues and elevate equipment or operational concerns promptly.




Support on‐the‐job training, coaching, and development of team members.
Maintain a clean, organised, and audit‐ready work environment.
Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example in safe work practices.
Work closely with Supervisors, QA, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a Team Leader, Leading Hand, or similar leadership role within food manufacturing or a production environment.
Strong understanding of food safety principles.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams.
Excellent communication and problem‐solving skills.
Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Good computer skills and confidence completing production documentation and reports.
Physically fit and able to remain active on the production floor, including regular standing and walking, and performing physically demanding tasks when required.
Flexible to work morning or afternoon shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
Previous experience in fresh food manufacturing.
Knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
Certificate IV or equivalent leadership or manufacturing qualification (highly regarded but not essential).
