Join our team at CRU Galston Gorge as aKitchen Supervisor (Kitchen Shift Leader)!
You'll lead and supervise kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality meals for campers and guests.
This hands‐on role includes food preparation, managing dietary needs, stock control, and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise kitchen staff during busy service periods
Set the standard for teamwork, organisation, and food quality
Coordinate food preparation for large groups, including dietary requirements
Manage stock control, kitchen cleanliness, and food safety compliance
Support and train team members to perform confidently and efficiently
About You
We're looking for someone who:

Demonstratesstrong team leadership skillsand leads by example
Is highly organised and can manage time effectively in afast‐paced setting
Has a genuine passion for cooking and commercial kitchen work
Is confident handlinghigh volume food preparation and service
Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
Is flexible and available to work weekends
Has a trainable, positive, and solution focused mindset
Trade qualificationsand previous experience incamping, conferencing, or largescale catering environmentsare highly regarded but not essential.
About Us
CRU is a Christian youth organisation passionate about helping students know and follow Jesus through camps and school's ministry.
Our Galston Gorge site hosts school and holiday camps in a beautiful bushland setting.
Housing may also be available upon request.
