The WHS Specialist is responsible for:
Champion a positive Safety and Wellbeing culture.
Providing business partnering to the business and owning responsibility for the delivery of the Work Health & Safety, and Workers Compensation functional responsibility.
Working with the PEC team and management groups to build and implement WHS solutions in line with the wider business strategy.
Executing the WHS strategy through a team of Work Health & Safety committee members.
Lead WHS committee meetings, chairing discussions and recording minutes.
Managing the delivery of recommendations and solutions covering all areas of WHS including: Workers' Compensation, hazard and injury investigation, corrective and preventative measures, organisational facility inspections, while complying with rules and regulations.




Managing the delivery of WHS training including training needs analysis, training delivery, and course participation management enabling best practice information.
Identifying areas of long-term strategic development within the WHS setting.
Liaising with subject matter experts within the broader PEC function to build proposals and solutions within the business.
Experience:
Demonstrated successful WHS experience working in a WHS role in a multi-layered environment, preferably in an aged-care related setting.
Comprehensive understanding of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and relevant standards.
Demonstrate experience in WHS policy development, and compliance.
