Responsibilities
Produce daily treasury risk reports, including market risk, liquidity and exposure reporting.
Prepare and reconcile daily profit and loss (P&L;) reporting.
Monitor and report counterparty credit exposures and associated credit limits.
Support the valuation of structured financial instruments and derivative contracts.
Update market data and other model inputs used within treasury valuation and risk models.
Validate market data, pricing inputs and assumptions used in financial models.
Investigate anomalies, exceptions and unexpected movements in valuations, P&L; and risk reports, identifying root causes and providing explicit explanations to management.
Perform independent analytical checks to verify the accuracy and integrity of model outputs.
Verify settlement amounts for financial contracts, including those containing complex contractual provisions, optionality and pricing mechanisms, ensuring settlements accurately reflect contractual terms,
valuation methodologies and underlying market data.
You will possess
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or another quantitative discipline.
1–3 years' experience in treasury, financial markets, risk management or a related analytical role.
Solid analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and a naturally inquisitive mindset.
Ability to analyse financial data critically and investigate anomalies rather than accepting results at face value.
Robust Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets and financial models.
Ability to understand complex financial contracts and translate contractual terms into operational calculations.
Exposure to electricity derivatives, structured energy contracts or energy market risk management would be well regarded.
Full Australian working rights & fluent English skills.
