Communications Technician / Electrician

Professional Cabling Services (PCS) has been delivering high-quality communications infrastructure throughout Western Australia since ****.
Now operating as part of the UET Group, we continue to provide specialist communications, electrical, security and technology solutions across commercial, industrial, government, education, healthcare and sporting facilities throughout WA.
We're a close-knit, growing team looking for our next Communications Technician or Electrician to join us.

About the Role
One of the biggest advantages of working with us is the variety of projects you'll be involved in.
Your work may include:
Structured cabling installations (Cat6 & Cat6A)
Fibre optic installation, fusion splicing and testing
Communications cabinet installations and rack fit-outs
Network infrastructure installation and upgrades
CCTV and security systems
Commercial office fit-outs and current construction
Fault finding, maintenance and service work
From time to time, you'll also have opportunities to assist our UET Group team on projects involving:
Commercial electrical installations
Audio Visual systems
LED display systems and digital signage
Sporting and entertainment venues
Specialist technology installations
Preventative maintenance and service work
With a diverse client base and project portfolio, no two weeks are ever quite the same.
About You
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems and wants to continue developing their technical skills.
You may be an experienced Communications Technician looking for greater variety, or an Electrician wanting to further develop your communications and technology experience.
Ideally, you'll have:
ACMA Open Cabling Registration (or be willing to obtain it if you're an Electrician)
WA Electrical Licence (desirable but not essential)
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Construction White Card
Experience working on commercial communications or electrical projects
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
A commitment to producing high-quality workmanship and working safely
Experience with fibre optic systems, CCTV, security, networking or Audio Visual systems will be highly regarded but is not essential for the right applicant.
