St Stephen's Uniting Church Toowoomba Meals on Wheels is seeking anAccounts Receivable Officerto join our finance team.
This is apart-time positionbased inToowoomba, QLD.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintaining accurate financial records.
This position plays a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our organisation and supporting our mission to deliver meals and services to our community.
What you'll be doing
Processing and recording customer invoices and payments in the accounting system
Monitoring and following up on outstanding customer accounts and overdue invoices
Preparing aged accounts receivable reports and analysing collection trends
Communicating with customers regarding payment issues and resolving billing disputes
Maintaining accurate customer records and updating account information
Reconciling customer payments to invoices and bank deposits
Supporting the credit control function to minimise bad debts and improve cash flow
Assisting with general administrative tasks to assist with service operations when required
What we're looking for
Proven experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or a similar finance role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable best practices
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications




Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when dealing with customer queries
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Relevant qualifications such as a bookkeeping or accounting qualification, or relevant industry experience
Experience in the not-for-profit or community services sector is advantageous
