Warehouse Purchasing/Inventory Assistant
Imperial Kitchens is seeking to appoint an experienced full time Purchasing and Inventory Assistant to join our Warehouse team.
Full time hours, flexibility and Immediate start!
This position will involve receipting of goods, inventory maintenance, following up backorders, forklift operations, picking orders with distribution to the factory as required and assisting in the preparation of purchase orders to maintain inventory at budgeted levels.
The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that orders and requests are processed in a timely manner to facilitate the smooth operation of the factory.
This role will include the follow duties;
Daily purchasing requirements and following up all backorders
Receipting of incoming stock into inventory system
Picking of hardware and materials for scheduled jobs
Undertake quality checks of all incoming and outgoing goods, receipt in and allocate
Carrying out stock takes and monthly reconciliations
Engage directly with suppliers in relation to product availability and delivery schedules
Maintain the security of the stores areas.
Comply with OHS and company policies.
Requirements to be considered for the role;
Prior purchasing or Storeperson experience
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Forklift licence not required but beneficial
Computer/Administration skills relevant to the role
Ability to work unsupervised and efficiently
Good written and verbal communication skills
Great work ethic, reliability and punctuality
Valuable understanding of stock control
High level communication and customer service
