CNS Australia
Sydney
Established in ****, CNS has built a reputation as one of Australia's most technically capable Managed Service Providers, delivering Cloud, Network and Cyber Security solutions to organisations across Australia and internationally.
As a Microsoft Solutions Partner and ISO *****-certified organisation, CNS combines deep technical expertise with a progressive, commercially focused approach to technology services.
Today, we employ more than 80 people globally, with Australia remaining our headquarters while our operations continue to expand across the United Kingdom, the United States and new international markets.
We are entering an exciting phase of growth, investing in our people, technology and capability to become one of the leading technology services organisations in our industry. Our people are central to that vision. That's why we're creating our first dedicated Recruitment function. This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up and leave a lasting impact on the future of our business.
Why This Role Exists
Growth creates opportunity - but only if you can attract exceptional people.
CNS has adopted a deliberate strategy of attracting experienced external talent to accelerate our growth across technical, commercial and leadership roles.
Rather than waiting for vacancies to arise and relying on agencies, we want to proactively identify exceptional people, build genuine relationships and create a warm pipeline of talent before recruitment needs arise.
This role has been created to make that vision a reality.
You'll become the architect of CNS's recruitment strategy, responsible for identifying, engaging and securing the people who will shape the future of our organisation. The role will remain responsible for recruitment, headhunting, talent relationship development, employer brand and the end-to-end delivery of approved hires.
CNS leadership is responsible for determining:
The organisational structure.
Which roles are required.
The location of each role.
The timing and priority of each appointment.
The development of existing employees.
Internal career development and succession planning.
Once a position has been approved, the Head of recruitment takes ownership of the recruitment process. The role will work with the relevant hiring manager to understand the position, craft the position description, prepare and list the advertisement, identify and approach candidates, conduct first-round screening, provide a qualified shortlist, coordinate subsequent interviews, manage references and background checks, prepare and send the employment contract to the chosen candidate using approved terms, and coordinate the handover into onboarding.
Hiring managers remain responsible for assessing technical capability and making the final hiring decision. The Head of recruitment owns the process, candidate relationship, momentum and communication surrounding that decision.
The role owns recruitment across CNS's Australian and international operations. For an overseas position,
the Head of recruitment will determine the most effective approach, which may include:
Directly sourcing and headhunting candidates in the relevant market.
Advertising through appropriate local platforms.
Engaging a specialist recruitment firm with local market expertise.
Combining direct recruitment with an approved local recruitment partner.
