We are currently seeking a reliable and mechanically minded
Trade Assistant
to join a large and well-established organisation specialising in the manufacture of mining equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a professional workshop environment and be part of a team producing high-quality equipment for the mining industry.
Working across
Stores, Stainless Steel Fabrication, and Machining operations
, you will provide hands-on support to multiple areas of the business, assisting with daily workshop activities and ensuring production requirements are met safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
Sorting and preparing materials for fabrication and machining processes
Supporting material movements throughout the facility
Preparing materials and components prior to fabrication commencing
Assisting tradespeople across stainless steel fabrication and machining areas
Packing completed products and preparing items for dispatch
Loading and unloading trucks within the Stores department




Reading and interpreting technical drawings to support cutting, sorting, and material preparation activities
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, mining, or industrial environment (highly regarded)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
Current forklift licence (essential)
Ability to work safely around heavy materials and workshop equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
