About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced
Interstate Truck Driver
to join our team based in
Rocklea, QLD
on a casual basis, with the opportunity for ongoing work for the right candidate.
This role involves transporting structural steel and related products across Australia while ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You will be representing ESE on the road, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and customer service.
Key Responsibilities




Safely operate HC or MC heavy vehicles for interstate deliveries.
Complete pre-start, pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Ensure freight is secured and transported in accordance with safety requirements.
Plan and manage delivery schedules in coordination with the Operations team.
Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery documentation and compliance records.
Load and unload freight when required, ensuring safe manual handling practices.
Comply with all Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements, road regulations and company policies.
Maintain a clean and skilled presentation of company vehicles.
Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and suppliers.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Current HC or MC Driver Licence (essential).
Minimum 3 years' interstate heavy vehicle driving experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Forklift Licence (desirable).
Experience transporting structural steel, oversized loads or fabricated products (highly regarded).
