Role Description
The Leading Hand Civil Construction role is a full time, on-site position based in Brisbane, QLD. This role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day site activities, supervising crews, and supporting the Site Supervisor to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification. The position involves monitoring work quality, assisting with inspections, arranging materials and equipment, and providing clear direction to team members. The Leading Hand will help enforce safety procedures,



communicate progress and issues to management, and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and experience in Site Supervision on civil construction projects.
Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills to coordinate with crews, supervisors, and clients.
Candidates should possess skills in Inspection and quality control to ensure work meets project standards and specifications.
Candidates should possess sound knowledge of Construction Safety practices and the ability to uphold safety policies on site.
Relevant experience in civil construction (e.g., earthworks, drainage, roads, or utilities) is highly beneficial.
Certifications such as White Card, relevant plant tickets, and a valid driver's license are desirable.
Ability to read and interpret plans, work to deadlines, and lead a team in varying site conditions is expected.
