We are seeking a detail-driven and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the day-to‑day financial operations of a purpose‑led Australian brand, while developing your accounting career in a collaborative and values‑driven environment. You will gain hands‑on experience across key accounting functions, working closely with a supportive team and playing an integral role in maintaining financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Support month‑end and year‑end close processes
Prepare and post accurate journal entries
Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
Assist with quarterly BAS preparation and compliance
Support accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes
Maintain accurate financial records to support audit and reporting requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects

About You




1–3 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role
Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (or currently studying)
Solid proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
Well‑organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
Transparent and skilled communication skills
A proactive team player with a mindset for continuous improvement
Exposure to ERP systems
Interest in financial analysis and reporting
A willingness to take initiative and grow within the business
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
