The Role
As an Electrical Fitter, you will be responsible for the overhaul, repair, testing and assembly of industrial rotating equipment. Your duties will include:
Stripping, inspecting and rebuilding electric motors,



generators and associated rotating equipment
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on industrial equipment
Replacing bearings, seals, shafts, windings and other components
Conducting insulation resistance (Megger), continuity and electrical testing
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, engineering drawings and technical manuals
Assisting with pump overhauls and mechanical fitting duties where required
Using precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet OEM specifications
Completing testing and quality inspections prior to dispatch
Maintaining accurate service reports and workshop documentation
Adhering to strict quality, safety and environmental standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Trade qualification as an Electrical Fitter or Electrician
Experience servicing and repairing electric motors, generators or rotating equipment
Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a cooperative workshop team
Commitment to workplace health and safety
Highly Regarded
Experience working on pumps, compressors or industrial rotating equipment
Low Voltage (LV) motor experience
Forklift or Overhead Crane Licence
Experience within heavy industrial, mining, manufacturing or power generation environments
