Position Summary
The Quality Manager ensures local compliance with World Courier policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across Clinical Trial, Commercial, and Transport operations. This role provides quality and compliance guidance to local teams, supports audits and inspections, maintains the Quality Management System, and may act as a regulatory contact with local authorities. Provide support to new service and business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Quality Team to maintain and improve the
Quality Management System (QMS)
, including SOPs, work instructions, records, and management reviews.
Act as the main local contact for
quality and compliance matters
. This spans the area of supplier management, internal and external audits, self-inspection, deviation management, risk management, change control, GxP and ISO requirements, calibration and validation of equipment.
Drive
continuous improvement
and support customer satisfaction initiatives.
Lead the Quality Team to provide operational quality support for
recalls, destruction, product handling, and returns
, where applicable.
Support CSS secondary repacking activities through QA spot checks, GMP packaging material release, and packaging/labelling verification in line with Good Documentation Practices.
Ensure quality control activities including routine quality checks, self-inspections, and documentation review to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to standard procedures.
Support local regulatory obligations, including duties as
Deputy Responsible Person
where required.
Lead and develop the operational quality team through work allocation, coaching, and regular team meetings.
Education
Diploma or bachelor's degree in
Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences
, or a related field.
Degrees in
Quality Management, Logistics, Engineering
, or similar may be considered with
5+ years of quality experience
.
Experience
5+ years of experience in quality roles
Strong knowledge of
quality systems, compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements such as TGA, Department of Health, ISO ****: ****, IATA, Australian Border Force.
Able to make independent decisions within routine quality operations
Good sense of business acumen
