The role
The person we are seeking has intermediate level of knowledge using the computer, with ability to liaise with freight companies using both computerised freight booking software and the telephone for moving freight around Australia. Showing initiative, they will be able to think outside the box; have negotiation skills to schedule incoming and outgoing orders. The person must also have a forklift licence with 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Duties and responsibilities
Maintain stock levels in the warehouse and on the computer
Book freight inwards/outwards, using computerised systems and the telephone
Loading and unloading trucks
Forklift driving, move stock in a safe and efficient manner
Routine stock takes
Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP)
General warehouse housekeeping and checklists




Achieving team KPIs
Pick/ Pack Orders
Must be safety conscious - reporting all incidents, damage and issues to Management for immediate action.
About You
To be successful in this role, you
must have
the ability to work in a manufacturing / warehouse team environment, using computer systems. Highly sought after is experience:
in manufacturing and warehousing
forklift driving (must hold licence), with emphasis on OH&S;
high attention to detail
Experience within the signage industry would be looked upon favourably
Base hours are 7.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday (some overtime may be offered)
