Sales Representative - High-End Timber Doors & Windows
Get off the tools without leaving the industry you know.
If you've spent your career building, installing or manufacturing premium timber doors and windows but you're starting to think about what's next, this could be one of those opportunities that completely changes your career.
I've spent more than 15 years as a Registered Architect before moving into recruitment, and one thing I've always admired is the craftsmanship that goes into truly bespoke joinery. There are very few manufacturers in Australia producing architectural timber windows and doors at the level this business does. Their work isn't volume residential. It's the sort of product that ends up on architect-designed homes, luxury residences and projects where quality is never compromised.
They're looking for someone who understands timber construction, enjoys talking with people and wants to learn the commercial side of the industry.
You don't need years of sales experience.
You do need curiosity, technical confidence and the personality to build relationships with builders, architects, designers and homeowners.
This is the sort of role where you'll still be walking through construction sites, discussing details with builders, measuring openings, solving problems and helping clients select the right solution. The difference is you'll no longer be carrying the tools.
Instead, you'll be building a career.
What you'll be doing:
This isn't a traditional sales role where you're handed a price list and told to chase new business.
You'll become involved in almost every stage of the project journey, learning how premium architectural joinery moves from concept through to installation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building long-term relationships with architects,
builders and existing clients.
Developing new business opportunities across the residential building market.
Preparing estimates and quotations.
Carrying out on-site measures.
Working closely with manufacturing and production teams.
Providing technical advice on bespoke timber doors and windows.
Managing projects from initial enquiry through to final delivery.
It's a genuine blend of Business Development, Account Management, Estimating and Technical Sales.
No two days will look the same.
The type of person who'll enjoy this role:
This position has been created for someone who genuinely knows the industry.
Perhaps you're a carpenter who's ready for a new challenge.
Maybe you've worked in a joinery workshop, manufactured custom windows and doors, or spent years installing high-end timber products on site.
You're technically minded, enjoy solving problems and have enough confidence to walk onto site and have a conversation with builders and architects.
Most importantly, you're ambitious enough to see sales as a long-term career rather than simply an escape from the tools.
Experience with premium timber windows, doors or architectural joinery will be highly regarded.
What's on offer:
$80,000-$95,000 Base + Super.
Fully maintained company vehicle.
Laptop and mobile phone.
Comprehensive in-house and external sales training.
Supportive management team with an outstanding culture.
Chance to learn every aspect of a highly specialised architectural business.
This is the kind of business where people stay because they enjoy the people they work with and genuinely believe in the product they're representing.
If you've been looking for a pathway into sales without losing touch with the construction industry, it's well worth a conversation.
