About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our small and friendly team on a casual basis. This is a hands-on accounts payable role, primarily focused on processing invoices, managing supplier accounts, and supporting day-to-day financial operations. You will work closely with our internal teams and play an important role in keeping our financial processes running smoothly.
This is an office-based position, Monday to Friday, located in Macquarie Park, Sydney.
Candidates must have valid Australian work rights, including Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
Process invoices and verify against purchase orders and delivery receipts
Prepare payment runs and debit note payment information
Set up and manage supplier/vendor accounts
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
Manage the AP inbox and respond to supplier enquiries
Prepare and process EFT/BPay payments via online banking portals
Accounts Receivable & Banking
Follow up on outstanding payments and overdue accounts




Process receipts and allocate payments accurately
Perform bank reconciliations, including identification and reallocation of returned or bounced commission payments
Assist with month-end reconciliations and reporting
Administration & Reporting
Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions
Maintain organised filing of invoices, receipts, and financial documents
Prepare basic financial reports or summaries as requested
Respond to internal and external email and phone enquiries
Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks as directed
Systems & Compliance
Process transactions via online supplier portals
Use accounting software including SAP and Xero
Use Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Ensure all transactions comply with internal policies and approval workflows
Maintain confidentiality of all financial information
What We Are Looking For
Experience in an accounts payable or similar finance support role
Strong numerical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP or Xero (desirable)
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Reliable and qualified with a team-oriented attitude
Valid Australian work rights
