We have a retail outlet serving the general public and a wholesale depot where we pack orders for businesses such as restaurants, cafes, hotels, hospitals and accommodation camps.You have the prospect to become a valued member of our team as a Storeperson/ Forklift Driver.Role Description includes but is not limited to:Unloading pallets of stock and packing into cold roomLabel incoming stock with batch codesQuality control and stock rotationPicking of orders for hotels, motels, restaurants, clubsCleaning & maintaining a neat & tidy work environmentManual handling and other warehouse duties are requiredHours of workThe position is casual with the prospect to move to full time after a qualifying periodEarly start requiredSelection Criteria:Food industry knowledge and experience (Fruit & Vegetable industry preferred)Ability to multi-taskReasonably fit as some heavy lifting is involvedValid Forklift licence and experienceSpecial knowledge/skills that would be an advantage to the businessAbility to prioritise workAbility to supervise staffDelivery driving experienceTraining and upskilling will be provided for the successful applicant.Opportunities include:Develop delivery driving skills and experienceDevelopment of warehouse skillsExperience operating warehouse equipmentTraining to obtain Forklift licence and opportunity to gain experienceTraining to obtain Heavy Rigid Truck licence and chance to gain experienceAn immediate start is on offer if you would like to become a valued member of Vegies Unlimited's team and fulfil a challenging and rewarding role.
