Talent International is currently recruiting for a Payroll Consultant to join our client's team based in Ultimo.
This position is a contract role for 6 months initially, with the view to be extended up to 18 months, and the role pays $75 - $85 per hour + Super.7 hours a day / 35 hours a weekAbout the RoleThis is a highly analytical payroll position within a major wage remediation program.
Rather than performing remediation calculations, you will focus on validating payroll outcomes, analysing complex payroll scenarios, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring employee entitlements have been accurately modelled.You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Legal, and external advisory teams to provide insights and assurance around payroll outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyse payroll data, reports, and modelled outcomesValidate payroll calculations and entitlement scenariosInvestigate discrepancies, anomalies,



and payroll-related issuesIdentify root causes and recommend corrective actionsReview and interpret payroll data to ensure entitlement accuracyProvide payroll insights and technical expertise to stakeholdersCollaborate with Finance, HR, Legal, and external advisorsSupport ongoing improvement and quality assurance activitiesAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:Robust end-to-end payroll experience, including BAU payroll processingProven experience analysing payroll data and identifying discrepanciesAdvanced Excel skills, including macros and complex data analysisStrong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards, and entitlementsExperience with:Leave calculationsBack paysTerminationsSuperannuation calculationsExceptional attention to detail and analytical capabilityStrong problem-solving and investigative skillsAbility to work effectively through ambiguity and evolving requirementsConfidence working with large and complex datasetsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly
