Painter and Decorator

Salary: $79,499 + superannuation per annum
Hours: 38 hours per week (overtime and weekend work may be required)
About the Role
Sabrina's Painting Pty Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our growing construction and maintenance business in Wolli Creek, NSW. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for a qualified tradesperson with solid experience in commercial and/or construction painting.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare worksites by erecting scaffolding and ladders and placing drop sheets to protect surrounding areas
Examine surfaces to assess the type and extent of preparation and painting required
Prepare walls and other surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling holes and cracks,



and smoothing and sealing surfaces
Select, mix, and prepare paints, varnishes, and stains to required colours and specifications
Apply paints, varnishes, and stains using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
Hang wallpaper, match patterns, and trim edges accurately
Follow drawings, plans, and work instructions to deliver high-quality finishes
Calculate material requirements and assist with cost estimates
Clean tools, equipment, and work areas after completion of tasks
Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements at all times
Skills and Experience Required
Certificate III or IV in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years' relevant full-time work experience as a Painter and Decorator
Current White Card
Proven experience in commercial and/or construction painting
Strong knowledge of painting materials and application techniques
Ability to competently use painting tools and equipment (e.g. brushes, rollers, spray guns, caulking guns)
Positive basic numeracy skills for measurements and material calculations
Physical fitness, manual dexterity, and ability to work safely on ladders and scaffolding
High attention to detail and a strong work ethic
