A rare opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a small finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will be responsible for:
Analyse large volumes of transactional data, breaking it down by category to produce transparent, usable reports
Build and maintain reporting in Excel using pivot tables and other analytical tools
Deliver weekly analysis and reporting across key performance measures
Track activity volumes and averages, turning raw data into meaningful commentary
Complete reconciliations,
with a particular focus on payments against operational systems
Raise invoices and support general finance administration
Keep databases and CRM records accurate and up to date
Ad hoc duties as directed by your manager
To be considered for this role, you will love getting into the detail and turning data into something clean and useful. Strong Excel skills are essential, particularly pivot tables and the ability to turn a messy data set into a clear report. You'll bring solid reconciliation experience and a genuine eye for detail. This suits someone early in their finance career who wants exposure to both the analytical and accounting sides of a business.
