Emirates Leisure Retail Australia (ELRA) is a leading travel retail and hospitality operator, managing a portfolio of globally recognized food and beverage brands across airport locations throughout Australia and New Zealand.

As we continue to invest in new developments, venue refurbishments and major airport expansion opportunities, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team.
OPPORTUNITY
This is a rare opportunity to deliver high-profile hospitality and retail development projects across some of Australia's busiest airport environments.
We will consider applicants based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.
Regular interstate travel will be required, with occasional international travel as business needs require.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of hospitality and retail fit-out, refurbishment and capital works projects across Australia and New Zealand.
You will manage the full project lifecycle including design development, procurement, construction delivery, statutory approvals, operational readiness and handover. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with operational, commercial and brand requirements.
This role is ideally suited to a hands-on Project Manager who enjoys balancing construction delivery with stakeholder engagement and thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Delivery
Lead hospitality and retail development, fit-out, refurbishment and capital works projects from concept through to venue opening.
Manage project programs, budgets, procurement activities, risk registers and project reporting.
Coordinate consultants, contractors,



suppliers and specialist trades to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
Manage contractor selection, contract administration and cost control.
Monitor project risks, issues and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
Construction & Compliance
Oversee construction delivery, contractor performance, site progress and quality outcomes.
Manage statutory approvals, landlord requirements, building permits and regulatory compliance.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with WHS requirements, building regulations, airport standards and company policies.
Conduct site inspections, project meetings and stakeholder reviews throughout delivery
Stakeholder Management and Operational Delivery
Partner with Operations, IT, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and Human Resources teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Build strong relationships with airport authorities, landlords, brand partners, consultants and contractors.
Coordinate operational readiness activities including equipment installation, technology implementation, training requirements and venue opening preparation.
Facilitate seamless handover of completed projects to operational teams.
Project Close-Out
Coordinate practical completion, final inspections and defect rectification.
Ensure all project documentation, warranties, certificates and handover requirements are completed.
Complete project reconciliations and post-project reviews to support continuous improvement.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated experience delivering construction,



fit-out, refurbishment, retail, hospitality or capital works projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of project management, budgeting, procurement, contract administration and cost control.
Experience managing consultants, contractors, shopfitters and external stakeholders.
Knowledge of construction methodologies, statutory approvals, building regulations and WHS requirements.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments.
Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving capability and attention to detail.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Property, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
