About the role:
We are seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join a high-performing Inorganic Chemistry laboratory. This is a hands-on role focused on sample preparation and trace element analysis using advanced instrumentation. This is a full-time contract (6 months) with strong potential for extension (up to 18 months total).
Duties:
Prepare environmental, food, and pharmaceutical samples
Conduct trace element analysis using ICP-MS / ICP-OES
Operate and perform basic maintenance on lab instruments
Assist with data analysis and reporting
Follow strict QA/QC, WHS, and SOP procedures
Work to deadlines in a fast-paced lab environment
Skills/experience:
To be considered,



you MUST have:
Australian Citizenship (
mandatory – non-negotiable
)
Ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance
Recent hands-on laboratory experience
Experience with sample preparation for chemical analysis
Understanding of QA/QC processes in regulated environments
Highly desirable:
Exposure to ICP-MS / ICP-OES
Experience in environmental, food, or pharmaceutical labs
NATA or GMP laboratory experience
