Main Duties/ Responsibilities
As a Weighbridge Operator, you will:
Provide efficient and effective weighbridge operation for the facility, whilst also delivering key administration tasks for the Operations Manager. Daily duties will include waste entry into the weighbridge system. (Please note that this role may differ from branch to branch)
Primary responsibility is to weigh on and off all trucks entering site and issue dockets via Mandalay. Directing them to where they need to go.
Print Reports for Operations department for Altona & Coburg (Products & Customer Totals information)
Emails & Call customers notifying them of additionals in their loads (Contaminated items found in Loads e.g. Tyres, Freezer Panels, Stumps)
Process Additionals
Create Weighbridge Dockets for loads into Altona Transfer Station
Answer & Direct phones to the appropriate staff members
Process End of Day Payments & ensure ALL vehicles have been teared off in Mandalay.
EFT Integration – take Eftpos machine offline to process manual payments
Take cash payments and EFT payments.
Order Stationary when required and monitor printing paper levels, coffee etc
Scanning Documents externally & internally (Sims, APR, payments taken are scanned & emailed to Finance Department)
When FOBs are used, need to ensure correct product/FOB is used to ensure correct payment is made.
Tick-off cards against tick-off sheet, placing cards in order, comparing driver cards to Runsheets,



emailing customer for copies of missing dockets and adding in missing information from drivers cards onto the Runsheets such as Detentions etc..
On an AdHoc basis may need to provide coverage for other transfer stations.

Weighbridge Operator - Calleja Transport
Systems
Competency with operating machining systems.
Follow OH&S; standards set out by the business.
Ensure you are constantly aligning with WHS standards.

Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
Able to engage in negotiation if dealing with external providers.

Ability to work within the team and adapt quickly to a changing workplace.
Ability to work closely with various team members across the Transfer Station.
