About the Role
At CFA, our brigades rely on safe, functional and well-maintained facilities to protect Victorian communities. As an Asset Project Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering maintenance programs and minor building projects that ensure our stations and operational facilities remain fit for purpose. Working as part of a collaborative statewide Asset Services team, you'll manage building maintenance, oversee contractors, coordinate minor works projects and work closely with brigades and regional stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes across your allocated districts. This is an opportunity to combine your technical building knowledge, project management skills and stakeholder engagement experience in a role that directly supports CFA volunteers and staff across Victoria. We're looking for someone with experience in building maintenance or minor construction projects who can manage contractors, coordinate multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget. You'll have solid project management,



communication and stakeholder engagement skills, a sound understanding of building legislation and maintenance practices, confidence using asset management systems, and a proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
About you
Building or equivalent technology qualifications or trade qualifications
Demonstrated experience in managing the delivery of building maintenance works programs, supervision of minor works projects, building construction
Proven ability to manage concurrent maintenance and other minor works building projects within budget, quality and time parameters
Experience in utilising maintenance / assets management reporting and data management systems including SAP and Microsoft office suite
Working knowledge of building regulations, the town planning process and building tendering and contracting processes
High level of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write technical reports
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a wide range of internal and external parties and ability to participate in multi-disciplinary project teams
