About your new role / Key Responsibilities:
Attend to breakdowns on automated glass manufacturing production lines and restore equipment to optimal operation.
Assist in Job Change of Manufacturing Machinery
Conduct preventative maintenance (PM), inspections, and servicing of mechanical equipment.
Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and carry out timely repairs.
Perform mechanical repairs and component replacement (bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, valves, etc.).
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues to minimise production downtime.
Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals for accurate maintenance work.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, breakdown reports, and documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and plant efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety policies and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Must be a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter.
C7 Fitter experience is highly regarded.
Additional qualifications or experience in pneumatics are preferred.
Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment is desirable.
Experience with automated production equipment is advantageous.
Robust problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other team members.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
