Sonographer on a casual basis
to join our medical imaging team. This is an exciting chance to work on
Saturdays
in a agile healthcare environment at our
Mickleham VIC ****
location. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and producing high-quality diagnostic images to support clinical decision-making. This role is crucial in delivering excellent patient care and contributing to accurate diagnoses within our imaging centre.
Key responsibilities
Performing a range of ultrasound examinations across various anatomical areas, including abdominal, obstetric, gynaecological, vascular and musculoskeletal imaging
Operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety
Positioning patients appropriately and explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
Recording and documenting patient information and examination findings accurately
Communicating effectively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals regarding examination results
Maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols and patient confidentiality standards
Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues when required
Ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and workplace safety requirements
What we're looking for
Current registration with the Australian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM) or equivalent qualified recognition
Qualification in sonography from an accredited institution




Proven experience performing ultrasound examinations in a clinical setting
Strong communication skills and a patient-centred approach to care
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Flexibility to work on Saturdays as required
Professional approach to maintaining patient confidentiality and medical records
Knowledge of current imaging protocols and best practice standards
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality diagnostic images
