The Little Company of Mary (LCM) a Catholic religious congregation is seeking an experience aged Care EN OR aged care support worker Cert III/IV, (health support professional), who will report to the Health and Wellbeing Manager and utilise clinical skills to ensure the provision of ongoing professional and compassionate care for the sisters of the Little Company of Mary. This position is to provide health and wellbeing support for a small group of ageing religious sisters who have lived vibrant lives, serving in health care, social justice, pastoral and spiritual care, with extensive exposure to intercultural diversity.
The health and wellbeing position requires knowledge, skills and experience in health, aged and community care. Suitable applicants may come from the nursing profession, allied health professions, or from aged and community care workers, A strongly relational approach within skilled advocacy and support is central to this position.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Health and Wellbeing Manager, you will support the day-to-day provision of qualified, compassionate and holistic health and wellbeing support services to Sisters living independently and in residential care in Melbourne, Tasmania and Adelaide.
You will support the health and wellbeing of Sisters to be routinely assessed and ensure that any changes in the Sisters' needs or identified gaps are addressed appropriately.
Using your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will build positive relationships with the Sisters and facilitate their social connection and interaction.




You will attend medical appointments with the Sisters as required, supporting collaborative and coordinated care with consent and privacy as a key priority.
The role is a permanent, part-time position (with a guaranteed ***** hours per week, Monday to Friday).
The successful candidate will also be required to work weekends as rostered and be on-call after hours as rostered. The roster will be shared with the other Health and Wellbeing Support person.
The position is based in Melbourne and will include occasional interstate travel as required.
An understanding of Mission and Spirit of Little Company of Mary and a commitment to working within the framework of Catholic Ethics.
Current RN or EN registration OR cert III/IV aged care support worker (PCA/AIN)
Relevant Experience in community health and or aged care
On call availability for the sisters will be required
Effective communication skills with all stakeholders.
Basic computing skills
Knowledge of Quality and safety standards and the aged care act across provision of community and residential care.
The ability to communicate to Health and Wellbeing Manager regarding changes in sister's condition.
Knowledge of specific issues around Religious to ensure understanding of the needs of the phases of ageing.
A salary is offered commensurate with experience. Successful applicants will be required to undergo relevant police checks and have the legal right to work in Australia
