Your New Prospect:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial/Maintenance Electrician is largely a maintenance role that will see the successful candidate working on many different and interesting machines on one site in Somerton. You will be performing breakdown servicing on conveyors, motors, control systems, Allen Bradley PLC's and trouble-shooting HMI issues.
It's not your normal industrial electrician role. It will also involve some real hands-on fitting work. Exposure to PLC's, pneumatics, proximity and instrumentation of all kinds, automation on a complex scale is important to be successful.
The role also has projects from time to time where lateral thinking and a smart mind will enjoy the challenges.
Key Responsibilties:
Perform preventative, corrective and reactive electrical maintenance promptly,including after-hours support when required
Perform mechanical maintenance when required
Provide input into job estimates and maintain accurate maintenance records
Collaborate with the Operations team regarding daily plant inspections, preventative maintenance schedules, site audits, and operational feedback
Follow all policies and procedures, having a strong safety mindset
About you:
Strong, relevant experience as a qualified Electricianin industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or heavy plant environments
Experience with PLC & HMI programming (Allen Bradley – RS Logix ******** preferred) essential
Practical experience with SCADA systems and other industrial control or monitoring software
Strong computer literacy and knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (e.g. MEX)
Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Strong understanding of AS**** and safe work practices
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Self-motivated, able to work independently and within teams
Qualifications
Electrician License (essential)
Elevated Work Platform (EWP) / Scissor Lift ticket (highly desirable)
Forklift License (highly desirable)
