If you find you're particularly passionate about a certain area, we have pathways to clinical specialisation such as home mods, AT or Mental health.
Your first year is all about building a solid broad base of clinical knowledge and then we can set new goals with you once you are settled in.
One of the best days of the year is our companywide annual training day where the entire business (circa 135) comes together to learn from external presenters tailored each discipline.
You'll attend multi-disciplinary meetings and enjoy opportunities for collaboration as you share clients with other disciplines such as Physio, Psych or Exercise Physiology.
You'll celebrate your milestones in your Grad program with a Graduate celebration at your 12-month mark.
To allow you more time to focus on clinical work, you'll have someone allocated to you in our admin team to assist with booking client appointments for you and assisting with admin taks.
We have an ongoing wellbeing program that involves monthly social events. Recently we've gone to an escape room, mini golf, ten pin bowling, obstacle courses, an amazing race around the city, wheelchair basketball + rugby, made dumplings, candles and gingerbread houses, paint & sip, and celebrated important dates such as International Women's Day and mental health month and many others.
Your travel is reimbursed at $1.01/km and you also receive phone/ data and laundry allowances.

The Role
As a community- based team, we predominantly see our clients in their homes, group homes, aged care facilities or in a public setting that's relevant for them eg out and about testing new a new wheelchair. We want to see our clients where they are most comfortable and that's relevant to their goals.
Some of our team schedule a full day of seeing 3 or 4 clients one day, then balance this the next by working from home or having an office day to write reports, prepare resources, have supervision / training. Or you can mix things up and split your day depending how you like to work!
A community role is great as it allows you to have genuine flexibility and control over how you structure your days and therefore you don't miss your afternoon sport or having the social life you've sacrificed whilst studying!
You will gain lots of variety in this role as you service a predominantly adult, NDIS & DVA caseload (12 yrs old and up) living with:
Developmental disabilities (autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, Down syndrome)
Neurological conditions (stroke, acquired brain injury, brain tumour, multiple sclerosis)
Degenerative diseases (Parkinson's disease, MS, motor neurone disease, Huntington's disease, dementia)
In your Grad Program you will:




Support clients with a range of tasks such as life skills - budgeting/shopping/travel/ cooking, pressure care, sensory, cognitive re‐training, prescribing equipment and assistive tech, upper limb + fine & gross motor therapy plus home assessments and modifications (initially minor and you can receive more training in complex mods)
You'll sharpen your clinical reasoning and get really positive at completing comprehensive assessments and reporting eg initials, functional capacity, Home & Living, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) or Activities of Daily Living (ADL)

Recovery Station provides community and clinic based allied health services, with a strong focus on disability and senior health. For over 20 years we have grown and now proudly offer services in the community across Sydney, the Hunter, Central Coast, Tamworth and nationally via telepractice.
Together, our passionate multidisciplinary team of OTs, Mental Health OT's, Psychologists, BSP's, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians and Allied Health Assistants collaboratively share their knowledge and experience to holistically design an individualised service to help improve the quality of life for people living with a disability or looking to age as independently as possible.
