Job Description
The Senior Marketing Coordinator, World Cups and Major Sporting Events supports the planning and delivery of NSW Government's '10 World Cups in 10 Years' initiative, including the Men's Rugby World Cup ****, Netball World Cup **** and other major sporting events. Working as part of the Event Marketing team and the wider World Cups Working Group, you will coordinate marketing activities that promote the events and NSW as a leading destination for major sporting events. You will coordinate integrated marketing programs and campaigns across multiple channels, working with internal teams, event partners, government stakeholders, creative and media agencies to deliver high-quality outcomes.
This role will primarily focus on supporting the Rugby World Cup **** host city marketing program across Sydney and Newcastle, supporting delivering of city dressing and fan activations, destination marketing and Rugby Fan Village campaigns designed to engage sporting audiences, and helping to create engaging experiences for visitors and fans. You will also manage campaign workflows, approvals, budgets and reporting, using insights and evaluation to improve future initiatives and ensure marketing activities are delivered effectively.

About the Candidate
You're an experienced event marketing professional with a strong understanding of delivering campaigns and promotional activities for major events. You have experience coordinating creative production, marketing activations, on-site branding and paid media campaigns, and can work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. Experience supporting large-scale sporting or major international events will be highly regarded.
You're highly organised and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines. You have strong stakeholder management skills and can build effective working relationships with government, venues, event partners, suppliers and agencies to support successful marketing program delivery.
