Compliance and Regulatory Change Manager Melbourne | Permanent, Full-Time
We are seeking a Compliance and Regulatory Change Manager to lead Heartland Bank Australia's compliance and regulatory change capability, ensuring we maintain strong oversight of compliance obligations while responding effectively to legislative and regulatory developments.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk, Compliance & Sustainability, you will provide independent Line 2 oversight, practical advice and constructive challenge across compliance, obligations management, breach management and regulatory change. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to support compliance ownership, monitor implementation of regulatory changes and strengthen compliance culture.
What you'll be doing
Lead and enhance Heartland Bank Australia's compliance framework and obligations management practices.
Monitor regulatory and legislative developments and manage regulatory change implementation activities.
Assess incidents and potential breaches, providing guidance on reporting obligations and remediation activities.
Deliver risk-based compliance monitoring and assurance activities.
Review controls, assess effectiveness and track remediation actions through to completion.
Prepare reporting on compliance performance, regulatory change and assurance outcomes for senior leaders and governance forums.
Partner with stakeholders to translate regulatory requirements into practical business outcomes.
Does this sound like you?
You have 5+ years' experience in compliance, regulatory change,
obligations management or another Line 2 risk discipline within banking or financial services. You have strong knowledge of APRA, ASIC and AUSTRAC regulatory requirements. You are experienced in regulatory change management and coordinating implementation activities across multiple stakeholders. You can confidently provide advice, influence stakeholders and deliver constructive challenge when required. You have experience in compliance monitoring, assurance, incident management or obligations management. You can communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly and effectively to a range of audiences.
