About the role
Are you passionate about helping students overcome barriers and stay engaged in their education journey? As a Student Experience and Retention Officer, you will play a vital role in providing welfare support, engagement strategies, and advocacy services toassiststudents in achieving their study goals. This position is an excellent opportunity to work directly with students, deliver meaningful interventions, and make a real difference in their retention and success.

About you
You will bring:
A Diploma of Community Welfare or equivalentand/orexperience within community welfare or working towards a related qualification.
Strong skills in providing intervention, counselling, and welfare support to students at risk of disengagement.
Experience working with local support services and building referral networks.
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
High-level organisational skills, includingaccuraterecord-keeping and reporting.
A versatile, creative, and proactive approach to supporting student success and wellbeing.

What you'll need
Successful applicants will be required to provide:
a current National Police Check (issued within three months of commencement)
a current Employee Working with Children Check (or evidence of application)
a current driver's licence
