We are seeking an
OutSystems Developer / Consultant
to support the design, development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of OutSystems applications for our clients.
About the role
The OutSystems Developer / Consultant will work across the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution design, application development, integration, testing, deployment support, and continuous improvement. The role requires strong hands‐on OutSystems development capability as well as the ability to work in a consulting setting with clients and internal delivery teams.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using OutSystems.
Work with both OutSystems O11 and OutSystems Developer Cloud environments.
Translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable application solutions.
Develop integrations with external systems, APIs, data services, and business platforms.
Support implementation of complex business workflows,
decision logic, and rules‐driven functionality.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, designers, analysts, and other developers to deliver fit‐for‐purpose solutions.
Contribute to application architecture, technical design, estimation, documentation, and delivery planning.
Troubleshoot, optimise, and improve existing OutSystems applications.
Support quality assurance, deployment activities, and production support where required.
Apply secure, scalable, and maintainable development practices.
Required experience, qualifications, and skills
Minimum 1 year of experience developing applications with OutSystems, including both O11 and ODC.
A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is required. Where the qualification is not directly relevant to the position, the applicant must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
Must be based in Australia and able to work with clients operating under Australian regulatory requirements.
Strong software development experience, including application design, data modelling, integration, testing, and debugging.
Experience working in consulting, client delivery, or project-based software delivery environments.
Ability to analyse business requirements and convert them into practical technical solutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and manage delivery responsibilities with attention to quality and detail.
Highly regarded
Demonstrated experience implementing complex decision logic using business rules management systems.
Experience implementing applications in the healthcare industry.
Working understanding of the FHIR interoperability standard.
Experience with API integration, workflow automation, data exchange, and enterprise application integration.
Relevant OutSystems certifications.
